Kimmelux fireproof glazings

It is possible to choose from different kinds of fireproof glazings that offer different levels of shield. The shield quality is measured in different time spans (30, 60, 90, 120 or 180 minutes) or by integrity and insulation or just integrity, as European standards indicate it.

We have five different kinds of fireproof glazings in our selection:
- Pyroswiss
- Vetroflam
- Contraflam Lite
- Contraflam
- Contraflam Structure

The classifications of fireproof glazings are presented in the chart.

FUNCTIONING
In case of fire, SGG Pyroswiss forms an effective shield against flames and combustion gases. SGG Pyroswiss stays bright in case of fire, which makes the planning and execution of rescue operations easier. SGG Pyroswiss acts like tempered safety glass, which makes it mechanically very durable and safe even when broken (personal safety EN 12600 1(c)1 or Pyroswiss Lami 1(b)1).

APPLICATIONS
SGG Pyroswiss glazing can be used diversely both in indoor and outdoor glazings, also in large glazings (even > 5 m2).
• tested in various different steel, wood and aluminum profile systems
• suitable for vertical, slanted and horizontal structures
• versatile appearance qualities that can be modified

CLASSIFICATIONS
• fire classification E 30
• personal safety EN 12600 1(c)1, also 1(b)1 available

SGG VETROFLAM
SGG Vetroflam – Tempered and coated SGG Vetroflam is a class EW 30 – EW 60 fireproof glazing that blocks heat radiation effectively.

The benefits of SGG Vetroflam glazings are especially highlighted in outdoor use and in situations that require smaller heat radiation permeability than class E glazings, such as in securing safe exit.

LAMINATED
A laminated SGG Vetroflam Lami glazing is comprised of two tempered and coated 6 mm thick Vetroflam glazings and a 0.76 mm thick pvb film between them. Standard thickness 12.76 mm. Fire class EW 30-60.

INSULATION GLAZINGS
SGG Vetroflam glazings are usually delivered as 2k insulation glazing, in which case a good U-value is achieved (1.4 W/m≤ K). Standard glazing types are:
SGG Vetroflam N 2k 4-12 E 30/EW
SGG Vetroflam 2k 6-8 EW 30–60

FUNCTIONING
In case of fire, SGG Vetroflam forms an effective shield against flames and combustion gases, and it also blocks heat radiation very effectively. SGG Vetroflam stays bright in case of fire, which makes the planning and execution of rescue operations easier. SGG Vetroflam acts like tempered safety glass, which makes it mechanically very durable and safe even when broken (personal safety EN 12600 1(c)1 or Vetroflam Lami 1(b)1).

APPLICATIONS
SGG Vetroflam glazings are suitable for fire doors and walls both indoors and outdoors.
• large tested sizes
• good U-value
• small safety distances in exit routes
• tested in steel, wood and aluminum structures.

CLASSIFICATIONS
• fire classification EW 30-EW 60
• personal safety EN 12600 1(c)1, 1(b)1 when laminated

SGG CONTRAFLAM LITE
SGG Contraflam Lite is a gel-laminated fireproof safety glazing that is comprised of two tempered glazings and a fireproof layer in between them. SGG Contraflam Lite glazings are in accordance with EW 60 – EW 120 and EI 15 -class fire resistance requirements also in very large sizes.

SEPARATE GLAZINGS
SGG Contraflam Lite separate glazings can be used indoors, in vertical surfaces as well as in slanted and horizontal compartmentalizing glazings. SGG Contraflam Lite is delivered as bright basic version, as well as with several decorative options (silk-screen printed, patterned, colored, etc.). Ask for further information.

INSULATION GLAZINGS
SGG Contraflam Lite can be combined diversely with other glazings as 2k insulation glazings for outdoor-use (Note! SGG Contraflam Lite has to be positioned in the warm side, see technical information). When different kinds of technical qualities are required, various functional special glazings, such as selective glazing or sun protection glazing, can be used on the other side in insulation glazing. Ask for further information.

FUNCTIONING
In case of fire, the surface of SGG Contraflam Lite changes and expands into a foam-like insulant. Due to this, the glazing blocks flames, combustion gases and heat for 15 minutes by the requirements of EI-class, in addition to which it reduces heat radiance caused by the fire significantly for >60 minutes (>EW 60).
Due to tempered glazing surfaces, SGG Contraflam Lite glazings are mechanically very resistant and meet the requirements set for safety glazings even when broken.

APPLICATIONS
SGG Contraflam Lite as separate glazing is suitable for indoor use, and as 2k insulation glazing for outdoor use (fire glazing on the warm side).
• large tested sizes (even 2200 x 3800 mm)
• tested in steel and wood structures
• versatile, can be delivered in various decorative versions

CLASSIFICATIONS
• fire resistance EW 60 – EW 120
• personal safety EN 12600 1(b)1

SGG CONTRAFLAM
